Award Leader Training (YES) Workshop

The International Award for Young People India organized a two-day Award Leader training workshop on 30th - 31st March 2016 at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi for 19 participants from various Institutions including Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital; Chinar Public School, Alwar; GD Goenka World School, Gurgaon; Hamro Sankalp Welfare Society, Guwahati; Jodhamal Public School, Jammu; KD Ambani Vidyamandir, Jam Nagar; Mata Jai Kaur Public School, New Delhi; Pinegrove School, Solan; Raphael (for the differently abled), Dehra dun; Selaqui International School, Dehra Dun and The Doon School, Dehra Dun.

In this experience sharing workshop, over the span of two days, the participants were given in-depth knowledge regarding the four domains of the programme i.e. Skills, Service, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey and also the Residential Project for the Gold Award Programme. The participants were also introduced to the technical aspects of the programme, which included Risk Management and Online Record Book (ORB).

The workshop was delivered by Kapil Bhalla (National Director), Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager), Priyank Kumar Gupta (Head IT & ORB), Ranjana Rai (Member, National Training Panel) and Pallavi Gill (Member, National Training Panel). The programme concluded with the presentation of participation certificates to the participants by Kapil Bhalla. Click for pictures

Award Leaders training workshop



The NAA organised a two-day Award Leader training workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi, attended by 23 participants from Mussoorie International School, Mussoorie; Manava Bharati Heritage School, Kaimur; Sir Padampat Singhania Education Centre, Kanpur; Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi; Unison World School, Dehra Dun; The Punjab Public School, Nabha; Him Academy Public School, Hamirpur; Ivy World School, Jalandhar; Vidya Sanskar International School, Faridabad and Uttam School for Girls, Ghaziabad. Kapil Bhalla (National Director) inaugurated the workshop with a brief history and introduction to the Award. Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager), Priyank Kumar Gupta (Head IT & ORB) and Ranjana Roy (Member National Training Panel) lead the workshop, which was conducted on 18th and 19th September, 2015. Click here for pictures

Award Leaders training workshop at The Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai



The NAA organised a two-day Award Leader training workshop at The Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai on 20th & 21st August 2015.  The workshop was attended by 15 participants from Lady Khatun Marium School, Panvel; P G Garodia School, Mumbai; Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai; B K Birla Centre for Education School, Pune; Symbiosis International School, Pune; Rustomjee Cambridge International School, Mumbai; The Cathedral & John Connon School, Mumbai and Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai. The NAA organised a two-day Award Leader training workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi, attended by 23 participants from Allenhouse Public School, Kanpur; Bawa Lalwani Public School, Kapurthala; City Montessori Inter College, Lucknow; Delhi Public School, Kanpur; Delhi Public School, Lucknow; Indirapuram Public School, Ghaziabad; Mallya Aditi International School, Bangalore; Neerja Modi School, Jaipur; Pine Hills Eco Camp, Barog; Shri Ram Centennial School, Dehra Dun; Snow Leopard Adventures, Delhi; Syna International School, Katni; The Sagar School, Alwar and Tula's International School, Dehra Dun. Award Leaders training workshop at Bangalore and Lovedale


The NAA organised two Award Leader training workshops at Sarala Birla Academy, Bangalore and The Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty. The first workshop was conducted at Sarala Birla Academy, Bangalore on 21st & 22nd July 2015.  Eighteen participants attended from five YES Centres - Sarala Birla Academy, Bangalore; Jain Heritage School, Bangalore; Karumbiah's Academy for Learning, Gonikoppal; Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Kolhapur and Edu Asia New Delhi Public School, Bangalore.  Kapil Bhalla (National Director), Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager) and K S Biradar (Member, National Training Panel) lead the workshop.

The Second workshop was conducted at The Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty on 24th & 25th July 2015. Twelve participants from The Lawrence School, Lovedale; Good Shepherd International School, Ooty and Riverside Public School, Kotagiri participated in the workshop. Kapil Bhalla (National Director), Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager) and Jacob P A Matthews (Member, National Training Panel) headed the workshop.  The training modules included the details about the four pillars of the Award i.e. Skills, Service, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey.  Apart from these there were sessions about the Residential Project, Risk Management, Volunteering and Brand guidelines.  Click here for pictures from Bangalore and Lovedale

Award Leader Training (YES) Workshop at Award Training Centre, New Delhi

The National Award Authority organized an Award Leader Training Workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi on April 23-24, 2015. The participants included delegates from The Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon; The Lawrance School, Lovedale; Smart Modern School, Tirupur; Litera Valley School, Patna; Delhi Public School, Gurgaon; Sunrise University, Alwar; and Billabong High International School, Kanpur. Kapil Bhalla (National Director) started the workshop with an ice-breaking session and then introduced the Award to the participants. Over a span of two days the participants were given in-depth knowledge regarding the four domains of the programme i.e. Skills, Service, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey and also the Residential Project for the Gold Award Programme. The participants were also introduced to the technical aspect of the programme, which included Risk Management and Branding. The workshop was delivered by the NAA team supported by Madhubala Sharma, Tejwant Singh Grewal and Pallavi Gill (Members, National Training Panel). The trainers shared their own experience as trainers and Award Leaders and had an engaging discussion with the participants.  Click for pictures

Award Leader Training (YES) Workshop


The International Award for Young People India organized a two-day Award Leader training workshop on 26th -27th March 2015 at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi for 80 participants from various Institutions including Sunrise University, Alwar, Kasiga School, Dehra Dun; The Naz Foundation (I) Trust, New Delhi; Pt. Uma Dutt Public School, Dholpur and participants from the Open Award Centre.

In this experience sharing workshop, over the span of two days, the participants were given in-depth knowledge regarding the four domains of the programme i.e. Skills, Service, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey and also the Residential Project for the Gold Award Programme. The participants were also introduced to the technical aspects of the programme, which included Risk Management and Online Record Book (ORB).

The workshop was delivered by National Award Authority (NAA) India National Director Kapil Bhalla, Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager), Priyank Kumar Gupta (Head IT & ORB) and Madhubala Sharma (Member National Training Panel). Award Leader Training Workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi



The National Award Authority organized a National Award Leader Training Workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi on January 13-14, 2015.  The sessions covered the four pillars of the Award i.e. Physical Recreation, Skills, Service and Adventurous Journey, as well as the Residential Project, Volunteering and Risk Management. The training was led by Kapil Bhalla (National Director), Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager) and Pratibha Kumari Singh (Member National Training Panel).

The workshop was attended by eleven participants from the Future Hope School, Kolkata; Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana; Mayor World School, Jalandhar; Ramagya School, Noida and Inside Passage, Dehra Dun.   Click for pictures

Award Leader Orientation Workshop at Welham Boys' School, Dehra Dun

The National Award Authority organised a one-day Award Leader Orientation workshop at the Welham Boys' School, Dehra Dun on 30th January 2015.  The training sessions covered the four pillars of the Award i.e. Physical Recreation, Skills, Service and Adventurous Journey. Other topics like Residential Project, Award Branding and Safety issues were conducted by National Director Kapil Bhalla and Bivujit Mukhoty, Programme Manager.  Priyank Kumar Gupta, Head IT & ORB delivered a session on Online Record Book. Award Leader Training Workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi

The National Award Authority organized a National Award Leader Training Workshop at the Award Training Centre, New Delhi on January 08-09, 2014.  The sessions covered the four pillars of the Award i.e. Physical Recreation, Skills, Service and Adventurous Journey, as well as the Residential Project, Volunteering and Risk Management. The training was led by Kapil Bhalla (National Director), Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager) and Meeta Sharma (Member National Training Panel). A session on the Online Record Book was conducted by Priyank Kumar Gupta (Head IT & ORB), while Pallavi Gill (Gold Award Holder) explained the benefits of the Award to the participants.

The workshop was attended by five participants mainly from the The Asian School, Dehra Dun; The Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad; Calcutta International School, Kolkata and K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, Mumbai. Click for the pictures

YES Training Workshop at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi

The National Award Authority organized an Award Leader Training Workshop at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi on December 29-30, 2014. Kapil Balla (National Director) started the workshop with an ice-breaking session and then introduced the Award to the participants. Over a span of two days at Amity International School, the participants were given in-depth knowledge regarding the four domains of the programme i.e. Skills, Service, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey and also the Residential Project for the Gold Award Programme. The participants were also introduced to the technical aspect of the programme, which included Risk Management and Branding. The workshop was delivered by Kapil Bhalla, Skand Bali (Head, National Training Panel) and Pratibha Kumari Singh (Member, National Training Panel). Award Leader Training Workshop at AMM Matriculation higher Secondary School, Chennai

The National Award Authority organized a National Award Leader Training Workshop at AMM Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai on December 12 -13, 2014. The sessions covered the four pillars of the Award i.e. Physical Recreation, Skills, Service & Adventurous Journey, and other topics like Residential Project, Award Branding and Safety issues were conducted by Kapil Bhalla (National Director), Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager) and K S Biradar (Member, National Training Panel)

The workshop was attended by twenty one participants. The workshop completion certificates were presented to the new Award Leaders by Kapil Bhalla (National Director, IAYP).
