29th - 30th December 2013: for JCB Sponsored Govt. Sr. Sec. Schools
National Award Authority organised a two days Adventure Practice and Qualifying Journey for JCB sponsored Government Senior Secondary Schools of the rural areas of Haryana at Tikkling, Rocksport Campsite. Instructors from Institute of Climbers and Nature Lovers (ICNL) mentored the activities under the supervision of Bivujit Mukhoty (Programme Manager, APF).
Total 155 participants (92 girls and 63 boys) from four different villages viz Deoli, Bhagola, Ladipur and Jharsaintly participated in the camp. The camp activities includes Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Fixing Rope, Building Burma Bridge & Single Rope Bridge, fixing Tyrolean Traverse (for river crossing), tent pitching along learning Rope Knots. The participants also learned Team Building Games with Spider Net. All the participants successfully completed their practice and qualifying Adventurous Journey. Kapil Bhalla (National Director) presented the IAYP India T-Shirt to all the participants and Award Leaders at the end of camp. The NAA team thanks ICNL, Kolkata and Rocksport, New Delhi for their spontaneous support to the Award Programme. We also wish to thank Neelam Singh (Award Leader, Govt. Sr. Sec.
